What I Do
Play-based learning
Transportation
Using an individualized, play-based approach, I work with children to develop their social, physical, cognitive, and emotional skills, as well as literacy abilities. This can look like baking cupcakes, playing at the park, doing scavenger hunts, or more! In every case, I encourage kids' innate curiosity, challenge them to think deeply, and help them build confidence in themselves and their skills. Check out the "Photos" section to see this in action!

Whether it's pick-up from summer camp or driving to the park, my reliable Honda HR-V is ready for any car seat or juice box.
Meals and Snacks
Positive Relationships
I love to experiment with making kid-friendly recipes and snacks. See some examples in the "Photos" section.
A positive adult-child relationship built on trust, understanding, and care helps kids practice communicating, regulating their emotions, and overcoming challenges. Further, a relationship of this kind will foster children’s cooperation and motivation and increase their positive outcomes at school (Webster-Stratton, 1999).

As a sitter, I am committed to building positive relationships with your children, while also acting as role-model and trusted adult.

Hello, I’m Katlyn!
Silly Goose Sitting is the name, Duck Duck Goose is my game...
I grew up in Chicago as the oldest of three silly geese. In that time, I had sitters who were instrumental in my development and shaped my own philosophy of caring for children.
